It was one of the final residencies to be announced but Afterlife on Thursday in Hï Ibiza has been a huge success. Thursday night in Playa d’en Bossa has danced to the cutting edge beat of Tale Of Us and guests, offering educated clubbers and lovers of new music a chance to experience a fantastic musical offering. All good things, as they say, must come to an end and this will happen on Thursday October 4, when Tale `Of Us will be joined by a monumental line-up of international talent.
The party kicks off at 10pm and, for serious music lovers, there’s not a minute to be missed! The array of talent is as impressive as it is long; joining Tale Of Us on the night, in alphabetical order, will be Adriatique, Âme, Ben Klock, Maceo Plex, Marcel Dettmann, Mind Against, Patrice Bämel, Recondite (live), Stephan Bodzin (Live) and Woo York (live). No matter where you look on the closing line-up you find a world class performer, with a history of challenging parameters and moving their sound forward. Having the ability to that is one thing, to do it in such a way that still engages your audience and maintains the dancefloor is something completely different. This is one of the reasons that Afterlife has struck such a chord with the Ibiza tribes.
Tale Of Us boasts a particularly partisan following, one that loves to travel and is not afraid of making some noise. The atmosphere is always lively, the welcome from the dancefloor warm and the sense of shared community strong. This is a party built on the love of dance music and the feeling of togetherness that only comes from sharing a dancefloor with someone for a number of hours. The season has already thrown up more than its fair share of memorable moments, something tells us that the closing party might be the biggest yet. It’s hard to know where to start, such is the strength in depth; Maceo Plex is always a firm Ibiza favourite, Adriatique’s ability to embrace the melody during their journey has made them hugely popular and for the downright uncompromising, there are few better than Ben Klock. It really doesn’t matter where you find yourself on Thursday October 4, it is going to be one to remember!
