After another series of outstanding gatherings that have seen Satruday night in Hï Ibiza become a staple for all house music lovers visiting the island, Black Coffee has announced details of his closing party, on Saturday October 6. The finale will feature the man himself, of course, joined on the night by Virgil Abloh, Andrea Oliva, Housekeeping, Mandar, Nastia, Nic Fancuilli, Nico Stojan and Themba.
With just two summer seasons under his belt with his own residency, it’s hard to imagine Saturday night in Ibiza without the option of undertaking the deepest of house journeys with Black Coffee and crew. The party has been a strong addition to the summer schedule and one that has consistently added to its army of followers as more people join. Black Coffee is no stranger to Ibiza crowds, of course, he has been dropping in and grabbing headlines as a guest for a few years now but giving him his own platform and the ability to invite artists he respects to join him has been a master stroke.
One of the reasons Hï Ibiza has integrated itself into the clubbing capital so quickly and with great ease has been its choice of residents. The brand new club was landing on the back of a nostalgic tsunami for the previous tenant and had a lot to live up to. Inviting the likes of Black Coffee, a previously unknown element as far as hosting an Ibiza residency goes could have been seen as a gamble at the time. Two years on, numerous capacity Saturday night turn outs and some unbelievable parties later that all sounds funny but hindsight is a great gift! Tremendous credit should be given to all involved, for delivering a party that has added to the quality of the island on a weekly basis and, with one last hurrah still to be enjoyed, it’s not quite the end for Ibiza 2018 yet!
